Stepping up to meet this challenge is the Hansa Next Generation (NG) trainer aircraft, an indigenous solution crafted by the National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL). Designed to strengthen pilot training programs and reduce dependence on foreign aircraft, Hansa NG is a major leap forward.
Introducing Next Generation Aircraft
The Hansa Hansa Next Generation Aircraft is a sleek, two-seater aircraft tailored specifically for Commercial Pilot Licensing (CPL) training. It comes equipped with cutting-edge tech—think digital glass cockpit, Rotax 912 iSc3 Sports engine, and a streamlined aerodynamic build. With a range of 620 nautical miles and a cruise speed of 98 knots, it’s built for both performance and efficiency. Bonus? It’s about ₹2 crore cheaper than comparable imported trainer aircraft.
Building India’s Own: NAL + Pioneer Clean Amps
In a push for self-reliance, NAL has teamed up with Pioneer Clean Amps Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, to manufacture the Hansa NG domestically. The initial production target is 36 aircraft per year, with plans to double that to 72 units annually. This Make-in-India initiative perfectly aligns with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision—boosting indigenous manufacturing and reducing our aviation dependency on other nations.
