Air Chief Marshal AP Singh has officially taken the helm as the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) of the Indian Air Force (IAF). This milestone ceremony took place at the Air Headquarters, Vayu Bhawan, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the IAF’s leadership. With his extensive experience and strategic vision, AP Singh is set to steer the force toward new heights.

A Distinguished Career

Commissioned into the IAF on December 21, 1984, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh has had an illustrious career, particularly excelling in the fighter aircraft division. His military education includes prestigious institutions like the National Defence Academy and the National Defence College, where he honed his leadership skills. Throughout his 40-year journey, he has steadily climbed the ranks, consistently demonstrating excellence and dedication to his duties.

Expertise and Accomplishments

AP Singh is not just an experienced pilot; his credentials are impressive:

• Qualified Flying Instructor: He has trained numerous pilots, imparting his deep knowledge and skills.
• Experimental Test Pilot: AP Singh has tested aircraft under various conditions, ensuring their performance and safety.
• Flight Hours: With over 5000 hours of flight time on a diverse range of aircraft, he is a seasoned aviator.
