1. Super Specialist Medical Officer
There are 5 posts for Super Specialist Medical Officers at the rank of Second-in-Command. Candidates must possess an MBBS or equivalent recognized medical qualification, permanent medical registration and completion of compulsory rotating internship.
They must also have a relevant postgraduate degree or diploma and DM, M.Ch. or equivalent qualification in the concerned super-specialty. Candidates generally need three years of experience in the concerned super-specialty after obtaining the first postgraduate degree. Senior Residency experience may also be counted as prescribed.
The maximum age limit for this post is 50 years as on the closing date of application.
2. Specialist Medical Officer
A total of 162 Specialist Medical Officer posts are available at the rank of Deputy Commandant. Applicants must have a recognized medical qualification along with permanent registration with MCI, NMC or a State Medical Council.
Candidates must have completed the compulsory rotating internship and possess a relevant postgraduate degree or diploma. Those with a PG Degree require 1.5 years of experience, while candidates with a PG Diploma require 2.5 years of experience in the concerned specialty, as applicable.
The maximum age limit is 40 years.
3. Medical Officer
There are 115 Medical Officer posts at the rank of Assistant Commandant. Candidates must have a recognized MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, permanent registration and completion of compulsory rotating internship.
Candidates undergoing internship may also be allowed to apply and appear for the interview, provided they complete the required internship before appointment if selected.
The maximum age limit for Medical Officer posts is 30 years.
Age Relaxation
The upper age limit is relaxable according to government rules. SC and ST candidates receive 5 years of relaxation, while OBC candidates receive 3 years of relaxation, subject to applicable conditions.
