Assam Rural Infrastructure and Agricultural Services (ARIAS) Society has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 7 purely temporary contractual positions including Specialists and Coordinators. These posts are available in the Project Implementation Units (PIU) and the five Cluster Project Implementation Units (CPIU) under the proposed Asian Development Bank (ADB) financed Assam Sustainable Wetland and Integrated Fisheries Transformation (SWIFT) Project. ARIAS Society Recruitment 2025

1. Hydrology Specialist

• No of posts: 1
• Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Hydrology, Water Resources, Soil & Water Conservation Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, or related fields.
• Experience & Skills: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in hydrological studies and water resources assessment, preferably in wetland ecosystems or watershed management. Prior experience with ADB or other multilateral development bank projects. Basic knowledge of hydrological modeling tools (SWAT, HEC-HMS).
• Pay: Rs. 6.60 to Rs. 10.80 lakh per year

2. Gender Specialist

• No of posts: 1
• Essential Qualification: Master’s/Postgraduate degree in development studies, social sciences, or related fields.
• Experience & Skills: Minimum 5 years of experience in gender mainstreaming at mid or senior level in donor-financed projects (ADB, World Bank, JICA). Fluency in English and local languages, excellent cross-cultural communication, and ability to interact with Indigenous People, government officials, NGOs, and CBOs.
• Pay: Rs. 6.60 to Rs. 10.80 lakh per year

3. Livelihood Coordinator

• No of posts: 5
• Essential Qualification: Master’s/Postgraduate degree in Livelihoods, Entrepreneurship Development, Food Security, Agriculture and allied subjects, Agribusiness, Value Chain Development, Rural Development, Social Sciences, or related fields.
• Experience & Skills: Minimum 5 years of professional experience promoting livelihood interventions, including Skills Training, Micro-Lending, Employment Generation, Cash Transfer Grants, and setting up Economic Cooperatives. Experience with ADB, World Bank, or other donor-funded programs preferred. Supplemental training in Income Generation, Gender Mainstreaming, and Microfinance is desirable.
• Pay: Rs. 6.60 to Rs. 10.80 lakh per year
