The Indian pair won the quarterfinal match in straight games, with a score of 11-3, 11-5. Their comfortable victory helped them move into the next stage and assured India of a medal in mixed doubles.
At the same time, Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh also advanced to their respective singles semifinals. Their victories meant that India secured two additional medals from the women’s and men’s singles events.

Joshna Chinappa and Velavan Senthilkumar delivered a controlled performance in their mixed doubles quarterfinal. They defeated the Philippines team of David Pelino and Jemyca Aribado in two games.

Anahat won the match 11-2, 11-5, 11-3. She maintained control throughout the contest and secured the victory in three straight games.
Her entry into the semifinal guaranteed India another squash medal at the Asian Games 2026. The result also strengthened India’s position in the women’s singles competition.
Anahat’s performance has been one of the notable results for the Indian squash team during the current Games. She will now continue her campaign in the semifinal with a chance to compete for a higher medal.

Abhay Singh Advances in Men’s Singles
In the men’s singles event, Abhay Singh secured another medal for India by reaching the semifinal. He defeated Japan’s Ryonosuke Tsukue in the quarterfinal.
Abhay won the match 11-4, 11-3, 11-6. The Indian player controlled the match across all three games and did not allow his Japanese opponent to take a game.
