The new attraction opened to the public on August 17, 2026. Spread across about 8,000 square feet, the facility was developed through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model at an estimated cost of ₹4.5 crore.

A New Way to Experience Wildlife

The Indore Virtual Zoo uses modern digital technology instead of relying only on traditional animal exhibits. Visitors can experience digitally created forests and wildlife through large-format visual displays, sound effects and motion-based attractions.

The facility includes a 3-D dome theatre, a 14-D cinema and a digital jungle safari. These attractions are designed to give visitors the feeling of moving through different wildlife environments while remaining inside the facility.

The concept combines education and entertainment and offers visitors a different way to learn about nature, animals and forest environments.

14-D Cinema Offers a Multi-Sensory Experience

One of the main attractions is the 14-D cinema. Unlike a regular movie theatre, the experience combines moving seats with several physical and environmental effects.

Visitors can experience effects such as wind, water sprays, fog, bubbles and vibrations during the shows. The movements and effects are synchronised with the visuals displayed on the screen.

This type of technology is becoming increasingly popular in entertainment centres because it allows visitors to experience a story through several senses rather than simply watching a film.

Digital Jungle Safari and 3-D Dome

The digital jungle safari is another major attraction at the facility. It uses digital visuals and sound to create a simulated journey through a forest environment.

The 3-D dome theatre provides a wide viewing experience using a curved display. This allows images to surround visitors more effectively than a conventional flat screen.

The combination of these technologies gives the facility a modern approach to presenting wildlife and natural environments. It can also provide visitors with access to digital versions of environments that may be difficult to visit physically.

Jungle-Themed Design

The attraction has been designed with several features intended to make the visit more engaging. The entrance has a gorilla-shaped design, while the interior includes neon-lit 3-D jungle pathways.

A fibre-optic glow garden adds another visual attraction. The facility also features a maze designed around simulated animal roars and a mirror bridge featuring a Hanuman hologram.

These features are intended to create a jungle atmosphere throughout the visitor experience.

Ticket Price and Timings

The Indore Virtual Zoo opened for the public on August 17. The entry ticket has been set at ₹70 per person.

The facility operates from Tuesday to Sunday between 10 AM and 6 PM. Visitors can attend multiple scheduled shows during the day, with 16 shows planned daily.

Each show lasts around 20 minutes, allowing visitors to experience the attractions without spending the entire day inside the facility.

Technology and Tourism in Indore

The opening of the virtual zoo adds another technology-driven attraction to Indore’s tourism landscape. Digital experiences are increasingly being used by museums, zoos and entertainment centres to present information in more interactive ways.

For a city known for its urban development and tourism, the new facility provides a combination of wildlife themes and modern entertainment technology. It may also offer families and younger visitors a different way to engage with nature.

The project also demonstrates how public and private organisations can work together to develop new visitor attractions. Under the PPP model, government institutions and private partners share responsibilities related to the development and operation of such projects.

The Indore Virtual Zoo therefore brings together digital technology, wildlife themes and immersive entertainment in one location, creating a new type of visitor experience in Madhya Pradesh.
