Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for both posts must have passed the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination. Applicants must also have a 6-month Diploma in Computer Applications from a government-recognized institute and should be computer literate.

The candidates must have satisfactory character antecedents and meet all other conditions mentioned in the recruitment notification.

Other Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Indian citizens as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India. Candidates must also have their names registered with the Employment Exchange. The Employment Exchange Registration Certificate must remain valid on the date of submission of the application.

Age Limit

The minimum age of the applicant should be 18 years, while the maximum age should not exceed 40 years as on 1 January 2026.

Age relaxation will be available to reserved-category candidates according to the applicable government rules.

Biswanath Judiciary Recruitment Selection Process

The selection process will consist of a written examination followed by a computer skill test. The written examination will be conducted through OMR-based objective-type multiple-choice questions.

The written test will carry 75 marks and will have a duration of 2 hours. Each question will carry one mark.

Candidates shortlisted after the written examination will have to appear for a Computer Skill/Proficiency Test carrying 25 marks. The test will cover basic computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

The final selection will be made based on the combined marks obtained in the written examination and computer proficiency test. The total marks will be 100.

Biswanath Judiciary Exam Date

The written examination is tentatively scheduled to be held on 22 November 2026. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will subsequently be called for the computer proficiency test.

The final date and other examination-related information will be notified through newspapers and the notice board of the Office of the Member, Foreigners’ Tribunal 1st, Biswanath, Biswanath Chariali.
