POWERGRID has announced a total of 40 Field Engineer vacancies. The vacancies are divided between Electrical and Civil engineering disciplines.

Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive monthly remuneration in the pay scale of Rs. 30,000–3%–Rs. 1,20,000, with an initial basic pay of Rs. 30,000.
In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will receive Industrial DA, HRA and perks equivalent to 35% of basic pay, according to applicable POWERGRID rules.
Candidates who successfully complete each year of engagement will also be eligible for a 3% annual increment for the subsequent year.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Indian nationals and must be at least 18 years old. The maximum age limit is 29 years as on 5 September 2026.

Educational Qualification and Experience
For the Electrical post, candidates must have a full-time B.E., B.Tech or B.Sc. (Engineering) degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline with at least 55% marks.
For the Civil post, candidates must have a full-time B.E., B.Tech or B.Sc. (Engineering) degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline with at least 55% marks.
Candidates must also have one year of post-qualification experience in areas such as design, engineering, construction, testing and commissioning related to rural electrification, distribution management systems, sub-transmission, transmission lines or substations.

Selection Process
The selection process will primarily consist of an Interview. POWERGRID may conduct a screening test if the number of eligible applicants is high. The screening test will be used only for shortlisting candidates and will not carry weightage in the final merit.
