Vacancy Details

Supervisor

  • Number of Posts: 5
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in History, Archaeology, Anthropology, Sanskrit, Assamese, Geography, Museology, or allied subjects from a recognized university.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in field research, heritage documentation, or cultural project coordination. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree.
  • Age Limit: 35 to 60 years

Documentation & Conservation Expert

  • Number of Posts: 5
  • Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in History, Sanskrit, Archaeology, Library & Information Science, Museology, Archival Studies, Art History, or Chemistry.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in manuscript documentation, archival work, or cultural heritage projects. Must be able to read old Assamese, Sanskrit, Tai-Ahom, or other Tai scripts.
  • Age Limit: 35 to 55 years
  • Monthly Remuneration: ₹25,000/-

Field Investigator

  • Number of Posts: 40
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in History, Sanskrit, Assamese, Anthropology, Archaeology, Folklore, or related disciplines.
  • Experience: Preference for candidates with prior fieldwork experience in cultural documentation or community-based research. Must be willing to travel extensively across rural and remote areas of Assam.
  • Age Limit: Up to 35 years
  • Monthly Remuneration: ₹20,000/-

Photographer

  • Number of Posts: 2
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Photography, Videography, Media Production, or Visual Communication from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in photography or videography, preferably related to cultural or heritage documentation. Must be skilled in handling DSLR cameras, lighting, audio gear, and post-processing software such as Adobe Lightroom or Premiere Pro.
  • Age Limit: Up to 40 years
  • Monthly Remuneration: ₹20,000/-

Assistant Conservator/Preservator

  • Number of Posts: 2
  • Educational Qualification: Master’s or Diploma in Conservation, Preservation, Museology, Art Conservation, Heritage Studies, Chemistry, or Library and Information Science.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of practical experience in conservation or preservation of manuscripts, documents, or artworks. Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in preserving palm-leaf manuscripts, sanchi-pat, or indigenous materials.
  • Age Limit: Up to 40 years
  • Monthly Remuneration: ₹30,000/-
