AAHAR 2026 New Delhi Fair is one of Asia’s top exhibitions for the food processing and hospitality sectors. It brings together exhibitors, buyers, and business leaders from India and abroad. The event helps companies showcase their products, technologies, and services while building new business connections.
Visitors can explore a wide range of food products, kitchen equipment, and hospitality services. The fair will also open to the public from the evening of 13 March, giving people a chance to experience the exhibition.

Boosting Trade and Export Opportunities
During the event, Piyush Goyal highlighted the importance of such fairs in boosting trade. He said India is now the seventh-largest exporter in the world. Farmers and fishermen together export goods worth nearly ₹5 lakh crore every year.
The minister also explained that Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) help Indian businesses reach global markets. In the past few years, India has signed nine FTAs, giving access to 38 developed countries. These agreements reduce trade barriers and support export growth.
Role of Trade Agreements
FTAs play a key role in improving international trade. They reduce or remove tariffs, making Indian products more competitive in global markets. At the same time, the government ensures that important agricultural products like rice, wheat, and pulses are protected during trade negotiations.
This balance helps both exporters and domestic producers benefit from global trade opportunities.

Italy Joins as Partner Country
For the first time, Italy is the partner country at AAHAR 2026 New Delhi Fair. The Italian Ambassador noted that this partnership will strengthen cooperation in the agro-food sector.
European countries are important markets for Indian food exports. With better trade agreements and partnerships, both India and Italy can increase trade, investment, and innovation in the food and hospitality industries.
Conclusion
AAHAR 2026 New Delhi Fair highlights India’s growing strength in food processing, hospitality, and exports. The event not only promotes business but also opens new global opportunities for Indian industries.
