Authored by Vasudev Devnani, Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, the book presents Vajpayee not merely as a political leader but as a thoughtful statesman guided by India’s civilisational wisdom and moral principles. The gathering saw the presence of senior political leaders, ministers, and admirers, all coming together to honour a leader whose vision continues to inspire the country.

A Meaningful Tribute During a Special Year

The book was formally released by C. P. Radhakrishnan, who praised the author for capturing the essence of Atal Vajpayee Vision in a thoughtful way. He said the book feels especially relevant as the country marks 100 years since Vajpayee’s birth. According to him, Vajpayee’s ideas continue to guide India’s public life even today, long after his time in office.

Speakers at the event noted that books like this help younger generations understand leaders beyond speeches and headlines. They offer a closer look at the values that shaped major decisions and policies.

Remembering Vajpayee Beyond Politics

Atal Vajpayee Vision

Speaking at the gathering, the Vice-President described Atal Bihari Vajpayee as more than a person. He called him an institution whose life stood for dignity, dialogue, and principled politics. Sharing personal memories, he spoke about learning from Vajpayee during their time together in Parliament.

He also recalled earlier days from the Jan Sangh period, including efforts to organise public meetings for Vajpayee in different parts of the country. These memories highlighted Vajpayee’s ability to connect with people from all backgrounds, even during challenging political times.

Atal Vajpayee Vision: That Shaped Modern India

The Vice-President spoke about how Atal Vajpayee Vision played a major role in shaping modern India. He referred to key moments that reflected Vajpayee’s confidence in the nation’s strength and future. Vajpayee believed India should stand tall on the global stage while staying rooted in its cultural identity.

One of the most powerful expressions of this thinking was his belief in balancing national security, scientific progress, and the welfare of farmers and soldiers. His famous slogan combining these ideas became a symbol of his broad and inclusive outlook.

Focus on Development and People-Centric Governance

Atal Vajpayee Vision was not limited to ideas alone. It was reflected in large development projects and reforms that touched everyday lives. The Vice-President spoke about how Vajpayee placed strong emphasis on roads, infrastructure, energy, and rural connectivity. These efforts aimed to bring growth to both cities and villages.

He also highlighted Vajpayee’s concern for communities that often remain unheard. Steps taken to give greater attention to tribal welfare showed his belief that development should include everyone, not just a few sections of society.

A Gathering of Leaders and Admirers

Several senior leaders and ministers attended the book release, showing the respect Vajpayee continues to command across political lines. The event was not just about releasing a book, but about revisiting values like harmony, dialogue, and service to the nation.

As India remembers Atal Bihari Vajpayee in his centenary year, “Sanatan Sanskriti Ki Atal Drishti” stands as a reminder of a leader whose vision went beyond power and politics. It reflects an Atal Vajpayee Vision rooted in culture, compassion, and a lasting commitment to India’s progress.
