Special Assam TET 2026 Admit Card Released for LP and UP Exam
Special Assam TET 2026 Admit Card is now available for candidates who will appear in the Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026. The State Level Empowered Committee, TET, Government of Assam has officially released the admit card for candidates of Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) levels.

Papers in Assam Special TET
The exam has two papers:
- Paper I – For candidates who want to teach Classes I to V (Lower Primary)
- Paper II – For candidates who want to teach Classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary)

Qualifying Marks
To pass the TET exam, candidates need minimum qualifying marks.

Only permanent residents of Assam can apply for this exam.
For Lower Primary (Classes I to V)
Candidates must have one of the following:
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
OR - Senior Secondary with 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed
OR - Senior Secondary with 50% + Diploma in Special Education
OR - Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
For Upper Primary (Classes VI to VIII)
Candidates must have one of the following:
- Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
OR - Graduation with 50% + B.Ed
OR - Post Graduation with 55% + Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed
OR - Senior Secondary with 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed
OR - Senior Secondary with 50% + B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed
OR - Graduation with 50% + B.Ed (Special Education)
Candidates from SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD categories get up to 5% relaxation in academic marks.
