SSC CGL Tier 2 Syllabus 2025
SSC CGL Tier 2 is the next stage after the Tier 1 exam. This exam is very important because it helps decide the final selection of students. Tier 2 is an online exam, and most questions are multiple-choice. Only one part, called the Data Entry Speed Test (DEST), is not multiple-choice and checks your typing speed.
The Tier 2 exam has different papers and modules. Each part checks different skills like Maths, Reasoning, English, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge. Since this stage is tougher than Tier 1, students must prepare each topic carefully and practise regularly.
This syllabus tells you what subjects you need to study for Tier 2 so you can plan your preparation in a simple and clear way.
SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern
SSC CGL Tier 2 Paper I is held in two sessions on the same day. All students who pass Paper I must attend both sessions.
In Session I, the exam includes Section I, Section II, and Module I of Section III.
In Session II, the exam includes Module II of Section III.
Students must pass every part of Paper I because all sections are compulsory.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Paper 2 – Statistics
This section of the SSC CGL Tier-2 exam focuses on Statistics and is designed to check the candidate’s ability to understand and apply statistical concepts. For some candidates, this part can be challenging, so it is important to understand the basic concepts clearly and revise them regularly.

Module I of Paper 3 (Finance & Accounts) covers topics like Accounting Principles, Financial Statements, Bank Reconciliation, Bills of Exchange, Final Accounts of Sole Proprietor and Company, Partnership Accounts, Depreciation, Auditing, Cost Accounting, and basics of Taxation (Income Tax, GST, and other indirect taxes).
