The initiative encourages passengers to take care of their physical and mental health even while flying. Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav shared that yoga is a powerful tool for preventive healthcare. This effort aims to make yoga a part of daily life, even in small spaces like airplane seats.
Problems Caused by Long Flights
Sitting for long hours can lead to stiffness, tiredness, poor blood flow, and stress. In some cases, it may also increase the risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis. The Ayush In-Flight Yoga Routine helps reduce these problems by keeping the body active with simple movements.

Easy Yoga Routine for Everyone
The routine is developed by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga. It includes light exercises, breathing techniques, and short meditation. Some of the practices are shoulder rotation, ankle stretches, seated twists, and breathing exercises like Anulom Vilom and Bhramari.
These exercises are easy to do while sitting and do not need any equipment, making them perfect for flights.
Encouraging Better Lifestyle Habits
This initiative promotes small and simple wellness habits that people can follow daily. With more people travelling and spending long hours sitting, such practices can improve blood circulation, reduce anxiety, and make journeys more comfortable. The Ayush In-Flight Yoga Routine shows that staying healthy is possible anytime, even during travel.
