Kaal Bhairava Portugal Production Expands Globally

Kaal Bhairava is a Medium-Altitude Long-Endurance (MALE) autonomous combat aircraft. The platform is designed for long-range defence operations and advanced AI-based missions. According to the company, the aircraft can travel up to 3,000 km and stay in the air for more than 30 hours.

The aircraft also includes advanced features such as AI-driven target recognition, swarm coordination, and encrypted communication systems. These technologies help autonomous platforms operate with better accuracy and security during missions.

Portugal Chosen for European Manufacturing

Flying Wedge Defence & Aerospace signed an agreement with SKETCHPIXEL LDA, a European company known for fighter jet simulation systems. Under this partnership, SKETCHPIXEL LDA will support simulation technologies, AI integration, communication systems, and interoperability solutions.

At the same time, Flying Wedge Defence & Aerospace will keep intellectual property rights for the aircraft’s core autonomous systems and airframe design. Portugal has become the first European country selected for the manufacturing of the Kaal Bhairava platform.

Role of Operation 777

The Kaal Bhairava Portugal Production project is also connected with Operation 777, a strategic plan launched by Flying Wedge Defence & Aerospace in 2025. The plan focuses on expanding Indian-origin autonomous warfare systems across seven continents and 77 countries.

This initiative aims to strengthen India’s presence in the global defence and aerospace market through international partnerships and advanced technology development.

Growing Importance of Autonomous Combat Aircraft

Autonomous combat aircraft are becoming more important in modern defence systems. These platforms use artificial intelligence, advanced sensors, communication systems, and mission software to perform operations with limited human involvement.

Swarm coordination technology allows multiple autonomous aircraft to work together during missions. Fighter jet simulation systems are also important for pilot training, testing, and integration of advanced aviation technologies.
