Kalinga Stadium Para Athletics Event Begins in Bhubaneswar
Kalinga Stadium Para Athletics championship will be held in Bhubaneswar from 19 to 21 March 2026. This major event will bring together top para-athletes from across India. It is organised by the Paralympic Committee of India with support from the Odisha government.

Massive Participation Across India
The event will see around 1,460 athletes from 28 states. Teams from the Border Security Force and Services Sports Control Board will also take part.
A total of 145 medal events will be held in just three days, making it one of the biggest para athletics competitions in India.
Kalinga Stadium Para Athletics Star Athletes to Watch
Many famous para-athletes will compete in the championship. Some top names include:

- Sumit Antil
- Yogesh Kathuniya
- Praveen Kumar
- Preethi Pal

The championship will help select athletes for future global events like the Asian Para Games 2026.

The Odisha government continues to support sports development in India. Around 40 athletes from the state will take part, led by Suchitra Parida.
Defending champions Haryana are expected to send the largest team, making the competition tough and exciting.
