Rajnath Singh at SCO Meet Amid Global Tensions
The SCO meeting is being held during a serious crisis in West Asia. Defence ministers from member countries are discussing how the conflict may affect regional stability. Topics like defence cooperation, counter-terrorism and international peace are key points of discussion. The SCO plays an important role in bringing countries together to manage such global challenges.
India’s Strong Stand on Terrorism
Before leaving for Bishkek, Rajnath Singh clearly said that India will continue its policy of “Zero Tolerance for Terrorism and Extremism.” At the Rajnath Singh at SCO Meet, India aims to repeat this message strongly. This approach remains a core part of India’s security and foreign policy.

Bilateral Talks and Cultural Welcome
Along with the main meeting, Rajnath Singh is also expected to meet defence ministers from other countries. These talks will focus on improving defence ties and regional cooperation. On arrival in Bishkek, he received a warm traditional welcome and was served Borsok, a popular local food.
SCO and Its Growing Role
The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation was formed in 2001 and has grown into a major regional group. Members include India, China, Russia, Pakistan, Iran and several Central Asian countries. India joined SCO in 2017 and continues to play an active role. As global challenges increase, the importance of the SCO is also rising, making meetings like this very significant.
