SPCDF Chairman Jayen Mehta Elected as First Chief of New Dairy Federation
SPCDF Chairman Jayen Mehta was unanimously elected as the first chairman of the Sardar Patel Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited (SPCDF) on 8 May 2026. The election marked an important step for India’s cooperative dairy sector. Sangram Chaudhary was also elected as the vice-chairman of the federation.

The election of SPCDF Chairman Jayen Mehta took place at AmulFed Dairy in Gandhinagar. His name was proposed by Ashok Chaudhary and seconded by Shabesinh Parmar. The results were officially declared on 7 May 2026.
Jayen Mehta is currently the Managing Director of Amul, which is the brand name of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. His experience in the dairy sector is expected to strengthen the newly formed federation.
About Sardar Patel Cooperative Dairy Federation
The Sardar Patel Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited is a new multi-state cooperative federation in India. It was inaugurated on 6 July 2025 by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.
The federation was formed to improve cooperation among dairy unions and expand the growth of India’s milk industry. SPCDF aims to support dairy farmers and cooperative societies across different states.

Board Members and Representation
The SPCDF board includes one representative from the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. along with members from its 10 dairy unions. The board also has representatives from cooperative milk societies in Assam, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.
Sangram Chaudhary, who represents the Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Limited, was elected as the vice-chairman of the federation.
The federation will function for a five-year term starting from 5 May 2026.
