The launch event will be led by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He will be joined by Union Minister of State for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Jitendra Singh, along with Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT and Electronics Nara Lokesh. The presence of both state and central leaders shows the strategic importance of quantum technology for India’s future growth.
This ceremony is not just about starting construction. It represents the beginning of a long term effort to build a strong base in deep technology. The government sees quantum science as a key driver for economic development, innovation, and global competitiveness. By bringing together policymakers and industry experts, the event sends a strong message that Andhra Pradesh is serious about becoming a leader in emerging technologies.
Vision Behind Amaravati Quantum Valley
The Amaravati Quantum Valley has been designed with a clear and ambitious vision. The goal is to position Andhra Pradesh as a global hub for quantum research, innovation, and talent development. Quantum technology is considered one of the most powerful and transformative fields of the future. It has the potential to change how computers work, how data is protected, and how advanced materials are developed.
Through this project, the State government aims to connect academic research with industry needs. This integration will help speed up the process of turning scientific discoveries into real world applications. Areas such as quantum computing, secure communications, and advanced materials are expected to benefit greatly from this initiative.
Quantum computing, for example, can solve complex problems much faster than traditional computers. Quantum secure communication can protect sensitive data from cyber threats. Advanced materials developed using quantum research can improve industries such as healthcare, energy, and manufacturing. By focusing on these areas, Amaravati Quantum Valley hopes to create both knowledge and economic value.

Building a Strong Industry and Academic Ecosystem
A key feature of the Amaravati Quantum Valley Project Launch is the signing of multiple agreements with leading companies and academic institutions. These partnerships will help create a strong ecosystem for quantum innovation in the State.
One of the major highlights is the establishment of an IBM–TCS Quantum Innovation Centre. This centre will bring together global expertise and Indian technology leadership to work on cutting edge quantum solutions. IBM is a global leader in quantum research, and TCS has strong experience in technology services. Their collaboration is expected to boost research and commercial applications in India.
The project will also include a dedicated Quantum Talent Hub. This hub will focus on training students, researchers, and professionals in quantum technologies. By developing skilled talent, the State aims to ensure long term growth and sustainability of the quantum sector.
In addition, SRM University will set up a Quantum Reference Facility. This facility will support research activities and provide necessary infrastructure for testing and development. Academic institutions will play a crucial role in producing new ideas and nurturing future scientists.
Role of National Quantum Mission and Public Private Partnerships
Quantum technologies have been identified as a priority area under India’s National Quantum Mission. The Amaravati initiative aligns closely with this national vision. By creating a specialised hub in Andhra Pradesh, the project supports India’s broader goal of becoming a global leader in quantum research.
Public private partnerships are central to this effort. The government alone cannot build a strong deep tech ecosystem. Collaboration between the public sector, private companies, and academic institutions is necessary to drive innovation. The Amaravati Quantum Valley aims to become a model of such cooperation.
Amaravati itself is being developed as a planned capital city with a focus on knowledge driven sectors. By adding quantum technology to its development plan, the State strengthens its position as a future ready city.

New Initiatives and Private Sector Participation
The Amaravati Quantum Valley Project Launch will also see the rollout of a Quantum Safe Application developed by QClairvoyance Quantum Labs. Quantum safe applications focus on cryptography that can resist attacks from powerful quantum computers. As quantum computing grows, traditional encryption methods may become vulnerable. Developing quantum safe solutions is therefore critical for national security and data protection.
In addition, Memoranda of Understanding will be signed with nine leading companies. This shows strong private sector participation and long term commitment to building a sustainable quantum innovation cluster in Andhra Pradesh. These agreements are expected to bring investment, research projects, and job opportunities to the region.
The involvement of multiple companies indicates that the project is not limited to a single organisation. Instead, it aims to create a broad and inclusive ecosystem where startups, established firms, and research institutions can work together.
A New Chapter for Technology Growth in Andhra Pradesh
The Amaravati Quantum Valley Project Launch represents more than the start of a construction project. It signals Andhra Pradesh’s ambition to lead in one of the most advanced fields of science and technology. By combining government support, industry partnerships, academic excellence, and skilled talent development, the State is laying the foundation for a strong quantum future.
As the foundation stone is laid in Amaravati, the project opens new opportunities for research, innovation, and economic growth. With clear vision and coordinated efforts, Amaravati Quantum Valley has the potential to become a landmark initiative in India’s journey toward becoming a global technology powerhouse.
