Students Sharing Stories of Bravery

At the event, many students shared their creative projects that highlighted acts of courage and heroism. Akshita Sharma, a student from Air Force School Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, recited a poem dedicated to Rani Gaidinliu, a freedom fighter from Nagaland. Akshita emphasized how Rani Gaidinliu’s bravery earned her the title of “Rani” from former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, and she expressed pride in bringing the story to life through her poetic work.

Another young talent, Ivaan Agarwal from a CBSE school in Malaysia, created a striking drawing of Kamlesh Kumari, who played a crucial role during the 2001 Parliament attack, saving the lives of national leaders. Ivaan’s artwork was appreciated for both its artistic quality and its ability to convey a strong narrative of courage.

Manisha Gupta, a student from Rajasthan, contributed by painting Shivaji Maharaj, the legendary Maratha king. Her painting reflected not just historical admiration but also a connection to India’s culture of bravery and leadership. Manisha expressed joy in receiving national recognition for her work and highlighted how historical icons continue to inspire students today.

Art, Creativity, and National Pride

One of the most unique aspects of Veer Gatha 5.0 is how it combines art, history, and patriotism. Students are encouraged to use creative mediums such as painting, drawing, poetry, and storytelling to reflect the lives of gallantry awardees. This not only helps students learn about India’s heroes in an engaging way but also fosters a personal connection to history and national pride.

By encouraging creativity, Veer Gatha ensures that the stories of bravery are not just memorized but felt and expressed. It allows students to interpret these tales in their own way, highlighting the values of courage, sacrifice, and service to the nation. For many students, participating in this initiative becomes a deeply motivating and educational experience.

Inspiring the Next Generation

The initiative has shown that patriotism can be nurtured through knowledge, creativity, and active participation. Students from diverse backgrounds and locations share the same excitement for learning about gallantry heroes. This shared enthusiasm promotes unity, understanding, and respect for India’s armed forces and historical icons.

Veer Gatha also aims to create a global impact, as students from 18 countries participated in the 5.0 edition. This international reach demonstrates that India’s stories of courage and heroism resonate far beyond its borders, inspiring students worldwide to appreciate values such as bravery, commitment, and national service.

Celebrating Gallantry and Learning

The Veer Gatha 5.0 awards not only recognize individual talent but also emphasize the importance of learning from history and heroes. Each student’s contribution, whether through poetry, art, or storytelling, becomes a tool to educate others about India’s gallantry award winners. Programs like Veer Gatha bridge the gap between education and patriotism, making the process of learning about national heroes both enjoyable and meaningful.

The event reflects a larger vision: to cultivate a generation of students who are aware of India’s past, proud of its achievements, and motivated to contribute to the country’s future. By celebrating young talent and providing opportunities to engage creatively with national history, Veer Gatha strengthens the connection between education, patriotism, and civic responsibility.
