Kho-Kho Juniors Bengaluru took centre stage as the 44th Junior National Kho Kho Championship began at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium in Gunjur, Bengaluru. The national event brought together nearly 1,000 young players from states and union territories across India, turning the city into a vibrant hub of energy, teamwork, and traditional sporting spirit. The championship is one of the largest junior-level kho kho events in India. Players under the age of 18 arrived in Bengaluru after months of preparation, representing diverse regions and playing styles. According to the schedule, the semifinals will be held on 3 January, while the finals are set for 4 January. As the competition progresses, the pressure will increase, and only the most disciplined and well-prepared teams will reach the final stages of Kho-Kho Juniors Bengaluru.

He also pointed out that learning to perform under pressure is as important as physical skill. National tournaments help players develop confidence, decision-making ability, and teamwork, which are essential for long-term success.
Karnataka State Kho Kho Association President Lokeshwara spoke about the steady improvement in training methods across states. Better coaching, structured practice sessions, and access to improved facilities have raised the overall performance level of junior players. As a result, matches are faster, more tactical, and more evenly balanced than in the past.

Following that, the 35th Sub-Junior National Kho Kho Championship will take place in Kurukshetra, Haryana, from 31 January to 4 February. Together, these tournaments show the continuous effort to promote the sport at all age levels.
