Ramachandra Huddar AOC Chief Appointed in Karnataka
Retired Karnataka High Court judge Ramachandra Dattatray Huddar has been appointed as the new chairperson of the Admission Overseeing Committee (AOC) for professional courses in Karnataka. Judicial Career of Ramachandra Huddar
Justice Ramachandra Dattatray Huddar was sworn in as an Additional Judge of the Karnataka High Court on 24 January 2023. Later, he became a permanent judge on 8 January 2025.
He retired from the Karnataka High Court on 12 August 2025 after serving as a permanent judge. His judicial experience and administrative background made him a suitable choice for the AOC chairperson role.
Service Background and Experience
Ramachandra Huddar was born on 13 August 1963 and belongs to Gokak in Belgaum district of Karnataka. Before joining the High Court, he served as Principal District and Sessions Judge in Dharwad and Mysuru.
He also worked as Director of the Karnataka Judicial Academy in Bengaluru, where judicial officers receive professional training. In November 2025, he was also recommended for the post of Ethics Officer-cum-Ombudsman of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).
