The task force will conduct regular surveillance and deploy personnel in places where women frequently travel or gather. Important deployment areas include:
- Bus stands
- Railway stations
- Educational institutions
- Public spaces with high movement
The main aim is to create a safer environment for women in daily life.

Complaint Handling and Awareness Work
The Tamil Nadu Singappen Task Force will also receive complaints related to women’s safety issues. The unit will work closely with different government departments and non-governmental organisations.
Apart from security measures, the force will support rescue operations and awareness programmes. These awareness activities are expected to educate people about women’s rights, safety measures, and preventive actions.
Women’s Safety Policing in India
Women’s safety units in India mainly focus on preventive policing, surveillance, complaint handling, and coordination with local institutions. Such units usually work with police stations, transport hubs, welfare agencies, and educational institutions.
The Tamil Nadu Singappen Task Force is expected to strengthen these efforts and improve safety monitoring across the state.
